We had our first Fall storm here in Southern Cali today and it was pouring buckets for a good part of the morning! Naturally, I took my oldest to school in sandals ( I can hear people from Seattle laughing at me now). I was dripping and had frizz ball hair but it was so much fun walking in the rain! The kids had a blast jumping in puddles along the way. After we thawed out and dried out, we decided to head down to the local pumpkin patch for a quick visit after dinner. I was surprised to see that we had the place pretty much to ourselves and the kids were stoked! I guess we were the only crazies that wanted to go out in blustery weather on a school night. The sky was breath-taking! I love the beauty that emerges after a storm. The clouds are big and fluffy and the air smells so fresh. It was a great little outing and inspired this weeks “face-less.” I loved this old truck sitting in front of the patch … patina and colors are awesome!
